Tie and the fans have always had a great relationship. Tie respects the fact that he is very privileged to be in the position he is in. Tie also understands that he has to give back to the community. He is deeply involved in many charities.
The fans have also respected the way Tie plays the game. He was selected by the fans as “The most popular player” for the Winnipeg Jets in 1994.
