I have several grandsons who "live for hockey" they play think eat and dream hockey.
My 11 year old who will never be big enough to become a professional hockey player is your #1 fan. Recently when I was at their home in Cambridge he said
"bubby will you make a pillow out of my Domi hockey shirt (which he has outgrown) so I can be wrapped in his arms every night."
I had to swallow the lump in my throat and of course said yes, and I am in the process of making that pillow right now.
I wanted to share that story with you because you are a father and a role model for a lot of children.
Thank you Ti for many years of unforgettable hockey!
Bonnie (bubby) Clark

Thanks Tie, The LAMANNA Family
Tie, I read about your retirement today on the internet. It has been great to see how well you career has gone over the years. Congratulations on what has been a fantastic hockey career and more importantly great work for the community.
Not sure if you would remember me - unlikely. We went to high school together at TASS in ’85-’87 – hung around a bit. I’m now in the Australian Army and Chief of Staff at the Royal Military College down here.
Anyways – well done Tie. Enjoy your retirement.
If you ever find yourself down under in Oz be sure to look me up. I’d love to catch up.
Regards.

I just saw the news conference on TV where Tie announced his retirement. Tie said he couldn’t see himself wearing any other jersey except for the blue and white. I just wanted to say that Tie Domi is a class act and that I will miss him playing for the Leafs. The retirement announcement was well done and was touching in it’s sincerity. I wish more professional athletes had Tie’s loyalty and character. I wish Tie well in his future endeavours.
Regards,

I am a huge Tie Domi fan, and am totally stressed to think that he may not be playing this year. My son, Ben, who now plays for the University of Waterloo and myself have travelled to Toronto on numerous occasions to catch a leaf game just to see Tie.

Hello,
I just wanted to say that Tie Domi will be missed in hockey. I’m not a fan of the Leafs, but I enjoyed watching Tie play. Tie had the look that he enjoyed what he was doing, that he was enjoying himself on and off the ice, he wasn’t in it for the money, but for the love of the game.
I just want to say that he’ll be miss.
Thank you Mr. Domi for all the enjoyment that you brought to the game of hockey.

To Tie Domi,
I’m not really a hockey fan, but I’ve always been a fan of yours because you kicked butt and didn’t take crap from nobody. Good luck and best wishes.
Craig Adams
Tie, Please don't retire.
You should play with the Montreal Canadiens. I will pay your salary....well
100k if you play for them for 1 season.

I guess nothing's forever. You were scrappy, you were effective. You left a lot of heart on the ice. I suspect you're going to leave that heart in the broadcast booth now. I look forward to seeing you do your new job. (Don't make me pissed off). Good luck in the transition.

Dear Tie,
First let me say that the Leafs will lose something special now that you are no longer with them. However, I am happy for you that you are now going to have more time to enjoy your life and your family.
God Bless You…
Your Fan,
John Marshe
To whomever gets this,
Please pass along my best wishes to Tie in his retirement. While I'm a lifelong Habs and Devils fan I thoroughly enjoyed watching Tie play all these seasons, I really respect a grinder.. especially in a day where professional sports are filled with prima donnas who got on the DL for a hangnail... it seems hockey is one of the few sports left where a player will say tape it up and get me back out there... and Tie exemplified that!
I finally have NHL Center Ice so I look forward to catching Tie in his new role, I'm sure he's going to do a great job and I wish him the best of luck!
Thanks for your time and for passing this on to Tie.
Take care!

I will miss seeing you this year. Thanks for the great years of hockey and for your giving back to the community. Although I am a long time Habs fan -- I have admired and respected a number of Leaf Players over the years -- and you are one of my favourites.
I now live in San Diego CA and still play oldtimers hockey. This year the local cable company won't be carrying the IcePackage that allowed me to religiously watch HNIC --especially Coach's Corner -- I never missed watching Don Cherry.
This year will be a bit different and I am working on some ways to make sure I get to watch HNIC. With that objective in mind, I will look forward to seeing you on Wednesday nights.
All the best

Hi Tie
We're going to miss you. From your first training camp when you broke your hand on John Kordic's head to your last game with the blue and white - you always gave it your all.
Be proud of your years here. You were a class act on and off the ice.
Looking forward to your continued work around Toronto
A fan
