Even though i am from Buffalo and one of the Sabres biggest rivals is the Toronto Maple Leafs, I have always admired Tie Domi. I think I speak for most people from Buffalo that our favorite fights Tie was ever in, was against Rob Ray. I miss that but i look forward to Tie having a great season this year. I had the privilege of meeting Tie at a fundraiser recently. I was struck by how quite, humble, even shy he is in person. But man when he hits the ice, he means business. Just wanted to say love the site and I am a big fan of Tie's, so much so that I sometimes take it to the next level. My family and friends have a great laugh every game as I sit maybe a foot from the T.V. cheering my two fav. Guys on (Domi and Jackman). I grew up in little town near Barrie where Jackman played as a kid and yes folks we had a childhood fling thing. I think it was a make out setion in my parents camper. I have watched his career very closely through the years. When Rick was on Dallas, as I am sure you know, their numbers were the same but since he has come home I have to favorite numbers ( 28 55). I also named my cat Tie, and yes everyone is still laughing. I have pictures of both players in my make shift bar and hope to run into both one day to beg for an autograph. I have seen Rick in at setting, lets say, and did not have any pictures close by or the ability to think of getting a coster and a pen. Ha Ha

Hi Tie or Tungjatjeta Tahir, I saw you live yesterday in Stockholm-The Globe Arena when you won 3-0 in the preseason game vs Färjestad. I´ve got disappointed because I didn´t had a chance to "at least" get your autograph. I screamed a lot, first in albanian because I thought that it would be easier to get your attention, then in english but you didn´t hear or didn´t wanted to hear?!!

I like you because you make me feel proud everytime you´re on the ice as a player with an albanian background and simultaneously frontfigure for Toronto Maple Leafs, one of the best teams in the world, which is unique. My four year old son Tyson (Ty for short) is as big as a fan that his Mommy & Daddy are of Tie Domi. Whenever he sees #28 during the game he says "there he is - that's my friend" He plans on being as great as hockey player as Tie & as a parent you can only dream of watching your son play in the NHL one day. I have pictures of my son in his Tie Domi t-shirt & boxers, with his Domi hat & mini hockey stick awaiting game time. I'm glad he has chosen such the perfect idol as Tie Domi. Hey Tie, I just wanted to say that I have been a fan of yours ever since you played your junior hockey in Peterborough. I used to go to the Petes games when I was younger to watch you and Mike Ricci score some goals. I must say I really have enjoyed watching you play. I still remember the day when I was in grade 9 at Thomas A Stewart in Peterbourough. I was playing basketball in the gym with some friends and you, Mike Ricci and Geoff Ingram came over and asked to play. I still remember scoring a hoop and you picked me up and put me over your head. I may not be such a good spelling person. But i must try to say what i feel and think about you Tie.

First of all i'm a big hockey fan. But i've never seen anyone with a tiger heart like you. Never seen you play 99%. You always give at least a 100 in every situation, every shift. You are a fantastic person and the most important, an professional and hardworking team mate. It feels great to see you on the rink. Almost like the life in the society. Many wanna be seen just with the right persons, make a career in a nice way or be seen on Broadway. But you act and behave like a working class hero. Do all the dirty work, take all the shit, do the work that no one else wanna do. Work hard with passion and do it well to let the stars shine. To me your playing style can be seen in the real life.

Do you remember when you played in Calgary on December 27, 2002? I was there! Hey there Tahir, I just want to say that I am a big fan, every time u play u make my heart pound because u are an Albanian. We don't have a lot of big Albanian athletes around the world like u. But what I don't like is that people don't know that u have Albanian parents and who u really are.

I have people coming up to and says: Mergim I didn't know that Tie Domi is Albanian and that makes me sad. Because we Albanians have suffered from many wars and we are the oldest people in Europe but people don't know that. How many people knew that Mother Teresa was Albanian well not many. Okay now that I have decided to actually write this, I have no clue what to say. Hmm, well I guess I will start off by saying, I love you Tie Domi. Yes, I'm sure you get that everyday, but I actually do, it gets quite pathetic actually. I absolutely love the way you play the game and the way you can actually see on your face how much you truly do love it when you talk of it. It shows you really do have heart. Through difficult struggles in your own life and with the team, you always seem to keep a positive image displayed to the public, which is a definite good attribute to be able to have and express to your fans. And your charity work is phenomenal. Not many people can say their favourite hockey player is not only a great player on the ice, but a great person off of it too. I'm a huge fan of the Toront Maple Leafs. I love all the players especially Tie Domi. I don't have much to say except I'm Tie's biggest fan. I have been a fan of Tie's since his days as a Ranger. The fact that he would go after anything that would fight back was the main reason!! Hi Tie, This isn't really a question but a comment. We live in Minden, Ontario (a big Leaf town) and you have many fans here (my 13 year old daughter and myself included). I just wanted to say Thank You for a great and enjoyable season. Winters here in the Haliburton Highlands can be pretty cold and long and watching the Leafs is a great way to get through the winter. I just wanted to pass on a "hello" to Tie, and to tell him how much of a fan I am.

I've been a Leafs fan all my life. (I'm 32 now.) I don't think I've ever seen a player with so much heart, so much passion for the game, and so much desire to become a better player year after year.
