The frigid temperatures outside did nothing to cool the giving spiritinside Union Station yesterday morning.

Toronto Maple Leaf Tie Domi joined representatives from 15 downtown office towers to help launch the fifth annual clothing drive for the Yonge Street Mission.

"It's great to see everyone pitching in to help fellow Torontonians," Domi said before heading off to the ACC.

The office towers are all connected to the PATH, a 14-km-long series of underground tunnels that is hosting the "longest underground walkway sale and charitable clothing drive" until Friday.

The drive hopes to collect 40,000 bags of clothes from the towers' employees for the Double Take used clothing outlet at Yonge and Gerrard Sts. Donors will receive prize ballots and discount coupons from PATH merchants.

More than 60,000 donations bags have been distributed to employees of 15 the downtown towers.

"It is our single largest clothing drive all year," said Rick Tobias, Yonge Street Mission executive director. The drives runs until Friday.
