Toronto Maple Leafs tough guy Tie Domi has warned reporters to lay off his brother Dash Domi, the former computer salesman who is again the focus of Toronto's computer leasing inquiry.

Just prior to a Leafs practice yesterday — with about 30 hours remaining before the deciding Game 7 against Ottawa — Domi sent a message to a Star sports reporter, asking for a meeting in the hallway leading to the Leafs dressing room.

He was upset over the coverage of the Dash Domi story, he told the Star.

"The city guys (reporters) are ruining it for you guys (sports reporters)," Domi said. "Try getting your facts straight."

Domi told the Star's reporter to pass a warning along to the editors: If the Star doesn't get its "facts straight" on the Dash Domi story, Tie will would no longer speak to Star reporters — about hockey or anything else.
