Drop
the word war, it's just a game, Domi says
April

Tie
Domi offered a sobering reminder yesterday to people who carelessly
toss around the words battle and war when referring to sports.
Senators forward Peter Bondra, for example, suggested this
series with the Leafs is "going to be a war."
"I
think using the word war is getting a little stupid, especially
for this rivalry," said Domi. "I don't think it
should be used.
"Those
guys (in Iraq) are fighting a real war. I think it's insulting
and disrespectful to them. What we do is a game."
KLEE HOPEFUL:
Toronto defenceman Ken Klee consulted a team physician after
practice yesterday in hopes of getting clearance to play against
the Senators tonight. He missed the final seven games of the
season with a right shoulder injury.
"Obviously,
I'm fairly close because I'm practising and moving pretty
well but it will be a determination made between him, myself
and the trainers," he said. "I'd like to go in there
and he says, `You're looking great and you're good to go.'
But until he puts me through some tests, you just don't know."
HAND IT
TO DOMI: On Hockey Night In Canada Saturday, commentator Don
Cherry said the Leafs' Tie Domi was playing with a left hand
that is so badly injured he can't fight. Domi denied it yesterday.
"That's
Don. He always likes to say something. I'm fine," said
Domi.
